Instead of denying that viruses and bacteria exist, this version shifts the blame: if you get sick, it's not the germ's fault-it's yours. You didn't eat clean enough, exercise enough, detox enough. It's a comforting story, but a dangerously false one. This belief downplays real infectious threats and undermines the tools-like vaccines- that actually protect us. It's what fueled COVID minimization and is now showing up in measles outbreaks and RFK Jr.'s cod liver oil advice.
