I do it for the pain.

Incongruity is my joie de vivre.
Go away Boomer. You are the generation of Population Bomb, Population Matters, and anti-natalism. We grew up under your ideology.

Every one of us heard our mother say: "Don't have children, they'll ruin your life."

I will bet that you said that to your kids too right?
September 11, 2025 at 1:42 AM
Pro-natalists are pretty fucked up in the opposite. But like, this too shall pass.

Maybe the solution is an attitude of: "Children are great! We should have a child forward society that values giving children good lives and supports parents and their marriages/partnerships. Do what ya like."

GenX delayed processing of having 30% of the potential cohort aborted and to having those who were born raised in anti-natalism w/ boomers telling us not to have children bc "ruin your life" shoving "Population Bomb" down our throats.

Took 30yrs to realize how traumatizing & fucked up that was.

This is a much, much bigger question actually. Central to this is: "Are Animals Ensouled?"

rah-oh ...

we're not only discussing "life at conception," & if you believe humans are Ensouled is the only viable metaphysical answer btw, also asking whether any consumption of animals can be ethical.

No, it's perfect, this is all going according to plan.

Fuck the Boomers, burn it, let this be their coda and their legacy.

I hope it gets far, far, far worse to the point the whole govt is totally degraded.

May the Millenials and Gen Z do better.

GenX work is FIRE, may it burn bright and hot.

The best thing you can do for birds is to stop using pesticides and lawn chemicals.

What good is a house for birds if they have no food? Birds eat bugs more than seeds, especially when breeding.

More bugs. We need bugs. Like a 5 alarm fire.

I would suspect there is a straight-line relationship between bird populations and their insect food sources.

Pesticide

Less insect biomass = less bird biomass. It's likely that wildlife reserves are inadequate in scope to maintain enough pesticide free area and insects just aren't making it.

No, I'm sorry, just look at this. It's basic. The parking lot in question is less than 100 meters away, but instead they need to cut trees? No. This is planning and architectural praxis. Put it on the parking lot, wall off the green space, and make it exclusive to the use of the new building.

Real ID, along with Clear, and the gate biometrics is a very overt and powerful government tool of biometric surveillance, by extension it is control of movement, and by linking financial records control of financial assets.

No technical barrier to totalitarianism anymore.

Only goodwill remains.

I got you right here:
April 4, 2025 at 2:39 AM
Clear & Gate Biometrics were the trial balloons.

And many people voluntarily signed up for a private company to link their biometrics and financial accounts together and then consent to facial biometrics tracking movement on and off the airplane.

Fuck you to everyone who just accepted all that.

I have never seen a study on the influence of double loaded corridors using the pressurized corridor ventilation method and the rates of respiratory disease transmission within MURBS.

I'm confident this study would reveal massive excess morbidity/mortality in the 2-stair paradigm.

When the corrupt code body is attacking you, it means you are on the right track, and you're winning.

Let me know if there's anything I can do.

The US Govt and the states, by virtue of having no federal standard set by a true agency, delegated statutory authority to private organizations with no accountability of any kind, and which have become completely captured by industry players using the private regulatory apparatus as a trade moat.

Gutted by weapons of our own making and are in the FIND OUT phase of why the Bill of Rights was created and the enumerated rights were supposed to be interpreted in the broadest possible sense but both parties worked overtime eroding that to zero.

The era of consequences.

Your general reminder that a conviction is not required in order to completely destroy a person's life.

Ds should have fixed the police state overreach when they had the chance instead of Joe "Lock 'em Up" Biden spending the last 50 years undermining the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, & 8th amendments.
March 17, 2025 at 5:23 AM
He is 100% going to touch the stove and set himself on fire right along with everything these total geriatric assholes have spent the last 40 years of their life in the project of destroying America.
March 17, 2025 at 5:16 AM
The Bidens and Clintons and Pelosis of the world started this shit of weaponizing the justice department.

Trump is what comes out of Pandora's box when you open that lid.

Fuck the Boomers. Fuck Biden, Clintons, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, and Trump.

May he destroy their legacy and be their coda.

gist is you model all the glazing, and adjacent buildings, and run the LEEDv4 Office Daylighting Standard in the Autodesk Insight suite that comes with Revit. Need to make sure you have 6lux on the floor everywhere within the minimum code dimensions of the room.

If they have a warrant. That's that, Sovereignty is real.

If they have no warrant: go pound sand, this is private property.

There is no grey area on this. Black & White issue.

On principle Columbia should NOT be accessory to violation of students' Fourth Amendment rights.

They do still derate however.

They go from a COP of 5 to a 2, and just simply do not put out the same total capacity due to this in combination with lift.

I think it's less of a problem in SFH. But I'm doing a 129unit multi in the Bronx on a central HPDHW plant & winter derate is brutal at scale.
March 4, 2025 at 6:03 AM
Result: Bigger equipment and increased storage.

But if by harvesting to precondition the water: now incoming at 25-30C the winter de-rate is substantially less. Potentially reducing equipment or storage needs.
March 4, 2025 at 2:12 AM
Not mentioned here is that HeatPump domestic water heater's efficiency is dependent on "lift" & ambient temperature.

If target is 60C, and its summer, water comes in at 15-20C and ambient is 30C+, cakewalk.

But when it's 8C incoming and -5C outside ... The Winter De-rate enters the chat.
