Fascinating to me the rise is nostalgia bait/legacy sequels/reboots overlaps with the baby boomers late in life decades. Almost like a subconscious fear of death pushing them to cling to the past, deluding themselves further that their way of life (including culture) is the default for us evermore

This is like the people who use AI to summarize books so they can say they read 100 books yesterday or whatever. Who are you doing this for? No one else cares. The point of a hobby is to have fun. Why would you ruin that for efficiency or productivity?
