There's this bakery near me that has absolutely perfected the more American style of pastries. One of my favorite things, are their cookie sandwiches.

This one is pistachio cookie, with pistachio buttercream filling. I love homemade buttercream. Way less sweet, and it just tastes much more fresh.

Butternut squash soup!

Butternut (roasted), onions (caramelized), cream (folded in), butter (browned with all spice & star anise), baguette (croutoned), Calabrian chili (crushed, set in oil, drizzled), spices (s&p, sage, paprika)
