Had our first proper book club meeting for Moby Dick with the first chunk read and I could have cried when everyone immediately started raving about it, how funny it was, how much they loved Ishmael and Queequeg, how much more readable it was than they feared. Ladies and gentlemen, we got em.

My most common typo when writing is “our” for “are” and vice versa, because I usually pronounce them identically and type what I hear in my internal monologue.

Can't imagine having to worry about stuff like formula, diapers and other baby essentials in the LA fires. This org is working with schools, homeless shelters and other affiliates to make sure families with babies and very young children have what they need. Please give them whatever money you can.

i just want to double down on this. d’onofrio’s “egger” performance is unreal. like, you immediately accept with no hesitation that this man you are watching is a giant alien cockroach in a human suit, and it’s all done with make-up and physical acting. a top ten hollywood physical performance.
