Brighton's last tram (number 53) is being restored and is nearly ready to come back to the city. Built in 1936 it was all electric and carried 100 people up Elm Grove. It looks amazing. All aboard! brightontram53.org.uk

Yesterday we asked the Labour Council administration to take a stand on the worst cuts to disability benefits since Osborne. They refused. Today 100 Labour MPs take a clear stance against these cuts. B&H Labour Cllrs are on the wrong side of history on this

Thanks to Disability Action Brighton for the demo today, exposing Labour's proposed return to Victorian approaches to welfare. The so-called Pathways to Work Green Paper proposals will, according to their own figures, see 250,000 individuals driven into relative poverty. #takingthepip
