The whole premise of basing sets on the theme is flawed in the first place. It's fun to have different art direction and custom mascots every year - but imagine watching a dozen bands play sets based on the same game, which they all prepared because it supposedly increases their odds of being booked
However, we've since updated that page with the guidelines that are in line with our internal policies over the last few years. We're genuinely sorry about the confusion. Bit Brigade is the only exception to this rule this year, and we're extremely excited to hear their new MMX set!
