When an anti-poverty charity that helps run national food banks pleads with the government to choose a different path, then we all should sit up and take notice.

Not tough choices, political choices

Some local Labour Cllrs run food banks helped by the Trussell Trust. How do they feel seeing this?

We should be surprised but we’ve not

Another hardworking, long standing Cllr (& Ex MP) blocked from standing for County Council in May

Given the Party 37 years but now deemed ‘not a team player’ all to bring in a friend of the MP (same as here)

Come join us, our Alliance is growing

“I’m a working class man with working class values & I love my home town.

I worked on the railways before becoming a postie & running my own pub, the Old Cross

I was in the Labour Party 20yrs, a Town, Borough & County Cllr. When they ditched my mate Cllr Sue Paterson, I ditched them”

Our local meeting right in the heart of the community

Our Cllrs bringing together residents, neighbourhood police & community liaison officers

We believe nobody is hard to reach

Politicians should be out in their patches

We believe instead of trying to divide society why not try offering meaningful change, & investment in public services & local communities instead?

Offer people hope & materially change their lives for the better instead of demonising the poor, ill, disabled, elderly & refugees

Our Housing strategy👇

-Built energy efficient homes💡

-Bought back council homes🏡

-Purchased ‘affordable homes’ as council homes for our stock 🏗️

-Built shared ownership properties🤝

- Worked with developers to have a scheme for local people to buy new homes for 20% discount💰

Fed up of political ‘tourists’ being parachuted into your areas? 📸

We offer an alternative. We pride ourselves on being local, vocal & visible all year round

Political leadership should come from everyday people from the ground up, not sent ready programmed from Westminster.

Not even a month old and what a crowd for our first members meeting.

Give people hope, agency & a sense of community & they will turn up

The revolution starts in the back room of the local British Legion ✊

Went to see him at the Playhouse on Monday, brilliant at stating how we need to wake up and see any growth is about the rich just getting richer

The economy is stacked against ordinary folk and the rich are buying up all our resources eg houses and then charging us to use them.

Excellently done

Surely the Broxtowe MP, Juliet Campbell is on the list….

Here she is promising to support you all the way and that was only back in September. Surely it wasn’t just a photo opportunity??

Having gone to hear Gary last night, we realise more than ever what a sham this is 👇

This isn’t about ordinary folk, this is about keeping the rich rich and the poor quiet

“It’s them & us & it’s a Class Divide

Inequality will widen & Social Mobility will reduce

The rich are getting richer on this & ordinary folk & our services will suffer

This is planned,we need to wake up, shout it from the roof tops and organise”

Exactly why are Cllrs help out at the local Repair cafe.

Here mending peoples clothes

Makes economic and environmental sense as well as helping build a community

Politics is mostly just sitting in a small
Community Centre on a Monday night in some of the most deprived areas, listening to residents talk about the every day problems that matter to them & their family

Not one person spoke of Musk or Farage but many spoke of poverty, damp & being cold.

Our first Community meeting - good old fashioned grassroots politics.

Teresa Cullen explaining why we left Labour and how we will stand up for our communities ✊
