There are many material reasons why Netflix owning WB/HBO sucks but the pettiest one I have is they suck at distributing their own work or building up any enthusiasm. They have failed their way to the top with a strategy that doesn’t benefit the work.

France has never been the free cultural space he claims. It has tracked anti-colonial thinkers, banned Arab rappers, expelled foreign artists and detained activists over slogans. Political expression is always filtered through state interests and fear of harming diplomatic ties.

It's an actual game plan on the right. They use it for book bans as well. They start with something easy: no porn in libraries. That hooks in the low information folks. Then you slowly broaden the scope until you're yanking any YA that violates Christian nationalism.
