Is this bots arriving on BlueSky? Because either this guy is lost or it’s a bot. Just in case you weren’t clear about who I am —
I’m extremely pacificist, don’t really believe in the military despite having a brother in it, believe 100% in science (incl evolution) and am pretty anti-religion too.

Doing a thing tonight that is LONG overdue and we’re excited to have the change. But in the meantime, haven’t seen our parlour empty like this since we moved in! #oldhouselove

The picture I drew the day Russia invaded Ukraine, because I had no concept of how to process what happened and I drew what I felt… Feb 25 2022. Raw emotion then and today - enraged by the state of affairs after the meeting in the Oval Office. #SlavaUkraini

Working on building all the cabinets for around the new fridge this weekend… set up the basement as a much better workshop with a new Bora workable and got a new toy too (Kreg Accu-Cut)… wish I’d bought a track saw years ago because this is making rip cuts so freaking easy. #oldhouselove #kitchen

Waheyyyy… look at that a new fridge. It only took us 5 years, two walls, 3 builds, and floor repair to get here!

Today’s reason to get fired up: that would be a federal abortion ban bill being introduced. They’re all liars. “Up to the states” my arse, they knew they’d do this immediately. Call your reps, share far and wide. You know what to do. 🤬 #abortion

Crazy January of projects continues… getting the fireplace liners installed today for parlour + basement, resealing the flashing and adding restored Jotul stove in parlour. 🥳 Being so busy with house things has definitely been a helpful distraction to the state of the world. #oldhouselove

Same view after we got the wall removed. It used to house laundry chute in a cupboard, but there were also 3 doors in 9 sqft space including the one to go down to basement. Didn’t make any sense. And this lets us put in a bigger fridge and make the kitchen feel larger too. #slowintentionaldesign

Today’s project: trying to get to a state of laying replacement kitchen tile by tonight… new fridge arrives Thursday 😬 remove old tile, old plywood underlay, relay some subfloor, durock, and dry fit tile. For those new around here, there used to be a wall here- so we’re patching tile. #oldhouselove

Excited to find the #oldhouselove community here and get grounded again. This is my year of get shit finished and get some big projects going, so my new goal is to share more on the blog/start a mirror Substack, videos on YouTube, and get back into my long-form content which I’ve missed a lot.
