A rare London outing for myself, even rarer for @ambroseparry.bsky.social, but with @damedenisemina.bsky.social and @allangaw.bsky.social in the mix, the @standrewsbookfest.bsky.social should be a stoater.

First look at the cover for Quite Ugly One Evening, the new Jack Parlabane novel out in May. It's a locked-room murder mystery set on board a trans-Atlantic liner, and is quite definitely a return to the tone of Quite Ugly One Morning.

Unexpected musical treat of the year for me is that four decades after releasing one of my favourite albums, The Adventures have got back together to create another masterclass in soaring timeless pop. Available from @cherryredrecords.bsky.social

Strong showing from the Bothwell contingent in this year's #theakstonsawards. @radiomukhers.bsky.social representing the unfashionable north of the village, myself the beautiful south.
