Today we continued harvesting the mighty Valley Oak's acorns. My kiddo and his friend helped me so much. It's lovely to do the work with the help from kids.

I love foraging. These are Valley Oak and Live Oak acorns to make into flour for baking. This is a lost food. Acorns were 50% of the Bay Miwok native tribe’s diet. It grows abundantly all over where I live. It’s time utilize the sacred oaks Autumn’s offerings.
