Our household (including my in-laws who live in our garden suite) have successfully made the all-electric transition this year, in walkable neighborhood with more than 100% of our energy being produced from rooftop solar. We typically e-bike or walk to most things we need, they walk or take their EV

Our cost of new solar is about triple the price what theyre pulling off. And when we need to add like 500 PJ of new generation in 20 years … Im betting on the kangaroos.

Whatever happens tonight, October baseball has been magical. Thank you Blue Jays, especially Schneids, and Buck, Hazel, and the Sportsnet crew. So incredible to have a committed group of storytellers bringing us from spring training to Game 7. All that said, LFG.

Groceries are a bit more expensive on Vancouver Island but not needing a car to buy food more than makes up for it.

This is a good observation. Victoria has a huge bike scene basically without a lot of young people.

Life After Cars looks pretty good in downtown Victoria BC, where Government Street was opened to people by removing cars. (Now do Wharf Street!)
