and an overgrown field with what i think is stilt grass and more, random peonies. the original gardener had over 30,000 when he died 100 yrs ago. his family moved them to what's now a state park.

the garden turtle my neighbors lured away with carrots has returned! it obviously prefers dandelions and daylilies to peonies and roses.

Virginia spiderwort and rose campion! And so many anemones. It's a fun suprise seeing what previous owners planted. 🌱

I went outside to take pictures of the snow and accidentally woke up a deer (by saying, "a deer!") but it's still nice and peaceful out there despite my best efforts.

I thought the snow had stopped for the morning , but putting on my boots beought another band through. At least the cardinals are happy!
