I'm also not very into horror movies in general and I loved Weapons. Some parts felt pretty brutal to me, but it wasn't so frequent that it ruined the experience.

Haha I'm a Brandon Sanderson sicko so I love this stuff. Book one can be a bit hard to start because it throws a lot at you for a few chapters before you get to the main character's story.

When you get to chapter 100 of book 5, your mind is going to be blown.
