A rare visitor to the table, one of my M4A3E2 Jumbo's (75mm) escapes it storage to wreak havoc in today Chain of Command game. After pumping three rounds if HE into a Whermacht section to great effect it got in a fire fight with a Stug 3F8, 11 armour helping it win the day. 1/72 Italeri model.

A few pics of my revamped SS-VT on thier first outing. Things started badly with a starting moral of eight and didnt really improve despite a solid two up attack on the French left losses in NCOs and the supporting Pz3 quickly saw thier moral plummet and the attack falter.

A few close ups from today's Chain of Command game. Probe scenario, US infantry vs Whermacht. FIgures ALL 20mm AB. A win for the Germans as a triple phase run onto a US jOP and end the third phase with three sixes-ideal timing then a quick stroll for the table edge. 1 german KIA in total!

A few pics from.yeterdays 4 player Normandy US vs Germans game. It tense game of Attack an objective (in the town)swinging one way then another but finally a win to the Germans as a pakfront Pzjg 1V picked off an M8 and M18 freeing up the Luch to cause mayhem. A great fun game for all involved.

Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
“Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!” he said.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred...

Today's CoC games part two. German sutzen truppe push through the Belgian defence line. Suffering from no AA defence and shock proved critical as the Germans three armoured vehicles swamped the defence. The T13 & the Pz4 slogged it out all game but it wasn't enough and the Belgian were brushed aside

Today's table for our 1940 "Blitzkrieg" Chain of Command game. Belgian regulars vs Shutzen truppe, the Germans with Suka support managed to destroy or damage three buildings and put a UXB in two more putting the Belgians on the back foot straight away.

My latest batch of Shock markers rolls off the bench. 20mm Ducks because when troops are under fire... they.... Duck 🤣😂 They all ended up being Mallards because generic ducks look very similar to chickens in this scale but then I guess Chickens work too.#chainofcommand. #spreadthelard

Table set up for today Chain of Command game, somewhere in France, 1944. A nice simple play through of the V2 probe scenario with a standard Whermacht platoon vs British infantry in the offing.

HUMAN ARTISTS OF EARTH! Use only one photograph of tiny painted toy soldiers or buildings to convince people to follow you.

One of my Char D2, based on a real tank from.a unit I can't recall now it encapsulates my love of French WW2 armour and my desire to get thier complex camo right.

Chainofcommand V2, French regulars try to hold of the Germans long enough to evacuate the refugees. 3rd Gruppe de Combat took a beating trying to hold the JOP long enough for the refugees to reach it, then flee. Meanwhile attempts to hold the translation weren't going well but, the refugees escaped.

Quick terrain addition, a slightly more upmarket walled garden for a mid to large house as it try to add both realism and variation to my terrain set up. Should be good for Chain of Command.

Fresh out the paintshop, two AMR 33in 20mm for 3e RAM, 3e Division Légères de Cavalrie, 1940. These will provide much needed moral support for my French Cavalry platoon. However if these high speed lightly armed and armoured death machines are relying on the rule of cool rather than actual quality!

Continuing to tonker with additionalthings for the French Reservists, a 25mm AT gun, a 47mm AT gun, 2x 60mm mortar teams, two sniper teams and some assorted gun crew headed to a couple of 37mm M16 infantry guns. Various stages from almost done to barely basecoated but, pleased with the progress.

A spot of recycling/modelling, a EWM miscast hull (50p) with self printed tracks, a spare Turret from PSC, an AB crewman with a SHQ Carcano rifle come together for Frankentank. Quick prime and its off to the paintshop she goes.

Yet more Chain of Command but fully on V2 now, second wave Germans try to clear the route against stiff resistance from a mixed Motorised and Reserve infantry. Enjoying the challenge of the Reserve infantry for the French.

A few shots from the weekends #chainofcommand 1940 game. A mixed force of BEF and French regulars hold the front against a Jerry spearhead. A win for the Allies but a hard fought one. #20mm

More from OML 11.

A few shots of the IBSM game at OML11, a superb event, superbly organised with a selection of outstanding games. This, a Barbarossa game not only featured crap soviet tanks but a Mig 3 (one of my fave aircraft) and the whole thing was stunning.
