I actually think it’s the perfect choice. It’s a bone bleached by sun, the 500 year old styrofoam still intact on polluted soil, a noxious fume billowing into sky, corporate minimalist interior, a splotch on an x-ray, the afterlives of the present.
Pantone’s 2026 color of the year is technically not a color at all — meet Cloud Dancer, the first-ever white shade to receive the designation from the world’s color authority.
Pantone makes a surprising choice for its 2026 color of the year

It’s pretty surreal that in less than a week, I will have 3 books out in less than 3 years!

(And by 3 I really mean 2.33333333 because I’m splitting this one with @tiffmorris.bsky.social and @ericraglin1992.bsky.social :) )

Can't help it, I'm a sucker for characters rediscovering themselves and making new choices when memory is missing or being recovered, slowly, finding identity through healing and experience. Probably why the MC of Misplaced starts off with some amnesia!
Amnesia isn't just a classic soap opera twist! It's also an excellent way to kick off a speculative narrative. Here are five stories in which our heroes wake up with no memory and mysteries to unravel

"Who am I?" is always a great way to kick off a story...

Going to be playing Daniel Hart's incomparable soundtrack on repeat all month, put in headphones at the grocery store and drown out every other jingle that tries to jangle its vapid consumer missive into my ears, they are for medieval-inspired surreal soundscapes only!

As a writer, I find Alan Wake 2 pretty relatable: guy writes a manuscript, sits down to it later and thinks "I have no recollection of writing this". Edits the shit out of it because "what kind of monster drafted this", has to fill in plot, add new characters, change the ending.
