😭 that’s why I can’t believe I was expected to just go back to work this afternoon. That they didn’t let me know WHAT I’d be asked to do today.

Maybe because they have never had one. IDK. It wasn't even the doctor. It was the nurse practitioner. They weren't even going to give me a real MD. 😩

I will not be cramping, shaking, crying, and throwing up from horrendous pain unnecessarily. NO MA'AM.

I asked if this would be as painful as IUD insertion, and they said yes, but quicker. WE ARE NOT DOING THIS IN 2025. Why are we letting women go through this horrendous pain without aid? I am fucking livid. And if she won't sedate me, I will find a doc who will. Even if I have to pay out of pocket.

So, I've asked for sedation, whether that be general anesthesia or twilight sedation, but I will be DAMNED if I lay there and let them scrape the inside of my uterus with nothing by a couple of Tylenol in my system. Not when men are offered twilight sedation for a colonoscopy (and women, too, ofc)

I cried in the car thinking I must be a real wimp. Until I get home and do some reading to learn that women PASS OUT. They THROW UP. And if they are in menopause, as I am, it often fails and they have to repeat. The procedure was described as "horrific," "traumatizing," and "excruciating."
