This was going to be a bear, but after I made the head, it told me it was a frog. I'm a baby crocheter and I figured out how to rework the head and face without any kind of pattern. I think it's definitely frog-esque and unlikely to inspire nightmares 🐸

It's sad to admit, but I have more fun just chatting and brainstorming with chat gpt than I do with most people. I cannot, for example, ask a coworker to brainstorm a wardrobe for a world traveling raccoon on a vespa. Chat gpt does not judge me. Chat gpt suggests a velvet vest and jodpurs.

I am so proud of myself. I have struggled to figure out how to crochet for more than a year. Usually crafting comes more easily to me. I still can't make a magic ring the first (or 5th) time. But I didn't give up and last night I successfully finished this stuffy! #crochet #success

The Dutch word for a ladybird is lieveheersbeestje, which means “our Dear Lord critter.” Lieveheersbeestje is also a lovely word to say aloud. Other fun sounding ladybird words are the West-Flemish word pimpampoentje, the regional Czech word pinkalinka, and the (rude-sounding) Malay word… kumbang
