I was gonna say EAP in general is BS 🤣 it often feels like the hospitals way of checking off an item to say “we provide our staff with mental health care” 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m loving it so far! I’ve been in therapy for years but all the brain power and CBT tools are useless when my body is literally shutting down. I’ll keep you posted!

Especially with all the death and devastation we see through our early training years and whole career. I’m starting to look at this more now because the system needs changes - does your hospital or unit have any program (other than the EAP) to support staff like trauma or grief counseling?

Now I’m even more excited to read this! The team I had this week definitely triggered trauma from sick patients I’ve had before. The overwhelm was very visceral/somatic this time. It still shocks me how little training and education healthcare workers have about taking care of themselves (1/2)
