Losing NOAA would be devastating. Project 2025 authors want to get rid of it because it monitors climate change, and privatize the information it currently provides for free, so you'll have to buy information about the weather and the winds (imperative for mariners).

I was prepared to lose TikTok yesterday. I was not prepared to lose it to MAGA though. It feels so icky going on there now. & I just got a Facebook ad and then a few videos down a bible phone game ad. Gross.

Moderate geomagnetic storm and aurora predicted for Thanksgiving night. Maybe not as big as October 10, but worth paying attention and looking up (through your phone) if your skies are clear.
Where will the Northern Lights be visible tonight? The Northern Lights may be seen this week — specifically on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 — in the continental U.S. after space weather forecasters predicted favorable geomagnetic storm conditions.

The northern lights may be visible on Wednesday and Thursday in states like New York, Wisconsin and Washington as G2 geomagnetic storms were forecast by NOAA.

Today the telescope part of Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope got attached to the Instrument carrier. On left we see the telescope and carrier and on the right after the attachment along with the crew who worked so hard in the clean room. It’s getting ready to launch and do awesome science!

So proud of my dad. He’s been an artist his whole life as a hobby and he finally pulled the trigger and started his own website jimresnickart.com I got a cosmos pillow and big bang black hole tote. All were originally done in pen and ink. Proud of him for following his joy.
