I made a poulet en cocotte, of sorts. Healthful and wholesome but for the Marsala. Incredibly delicious.
I want to eat it all over again.

We spent $95 at the book fair. Actually correction, husband spent $50 yesterday as well. I’ve come home very excited about a couple of these books and a couple of new herbs for my garden.
I feel really rich.

Rotary Club's Book fair is on & Johnny scored some good books- including this one.
We thought it would be interesting to see which birds are still around, & which ones are under threat or have become extinct since 1997 publication.

People are so stupid:
In Murwillumbah, these guys stole security cameras, then inadvertently filmed themselves in their own home.

Silly Johnny took the dog out to play as the sky grew blacker, and they came home sodden.
“I wasn’t really expecting that!”
Why does commonsense seem to be so lacking in this man?

A lovely drive to a nearby village's art show. Ended up at a cemetery -when you're on your own you can do whatever you like. ( The artshow was ok if a little underwhelming).
Saw Kangaroos & a koala on the road, in the middle of the day. 😯

The frustrating thing about living close to nature is having to keep the peace-balance between your pets & wildlife. This poor bugger was nearly a dog's dinner, literally. Perhaps it was not a good idea to get the neighbour's dogs over for a couple of hours.

Omg wild and dangerous me: these are bloody nice.

Did not factor sitting on the side of the road with a broken down car into my day but pretty glad that I got out and did the things I did first...
A shame I bought all that mince meat... At least I do have a cooler bag and I am in town, not in the middle of nowhere.
