Been parked here for some time but figured I'd say hi now that I've closed up shop on Twitter. Here to earnestly like your posts and art and horse pictures and favorite songs and always be at least one person to see you when you're feeling bad.

COVID provided a lot of real-time evidence of which people would sacrifice for the greater good, innovate, keep up morale and emotionally endure devastating loss...and which would sell out their grandma if it meant they could go back to Applebee's.
The guys who rioted during covid lockdowns because they couldn't get a harcut or harass food servers are going to fold on day 2 of the civil war, if they manage to survive that long
that's cool, man, but have you tried the taste of a refreshing matcha latte

it might seem surprising that the people who said “look, let trans people live their lives, but i have Reasonable Concerns about sports and toilets” aren’t up in arms about this, but what you have to remember is that those people who said that are liars who were lying

A massive problem today is the uneven distribution of shame. Some of us are running dedicated on-site shame servers 24/7 while others have no access to shame at all, even though they desperately need it. What we need to do is put shame in the cloud

it is an underrated miracle of the 21st century that we really did massively, massively reduce bullying in schools
My experience as well. So far we're 2-for-2 on kids having a largely bullying/abuse-free middle school experience. Not without bumpy spots of course, but light years away from what I endured.

My hot take: the anti-bullying stuff has really worked, which is why conservatives are pushing back at it.
for what it’s worth I got roped into helping out with my sixth grader’s extracurricular thing so I’ve had more recent contact with middle schoolers who aren’t mine than I usually do, and biased sample/biased reviewer/etc but my verdict is that the kids are all right

While we consider what has caused our society to go so far off the rails we should consider that everything important and/or good now costs a full year's median income while everything stupid and/or evil has the illusion or reality of being free

And I don't know if the answer is: everyone is too traumatized to do work and we need to reinvent society. Or if it's more like: generations are losing their cognitive abilities and willpower due to destructive technologies. Or: we all have post-viral brain damage. Or: all of the above.

If I ever own a company, we are doing four-day work weeks, period.

If they tell me it's not possible, they can go back into the conference room and come out again when it is possible.

Dramatically improves workers' lives and well-being overnight if that's the kind of thing you're into.

There are going to be prominent Democrats and mainstream media voices who insist that we have to "turn the page" and "forgive and forget" and they should all be roundly ignored, if not mercilessly mocked.
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

The fact that I don't believe even a little bit in ghosts is going to make me someone's bravest or dumbest friend one day.
do you believe in ghosts or are you like me, a person who finds themself saying all the time “I absolutely don’t believe in ghosts, but this place has ghosts.”

Reached my very reasonable Kickstarter goal on Day 1. So that's exciting.

Did you look and listen yet?
I've got a super-small footprint here, but want to share exciting news that the Kickstarter for my new EP is live now! Meet me, hear two new songs, and get cool stuff.

Zero marketing dollars to this, so shares help a ton, too. Hope you enjoy! xo
