Fangoria writer. Cat owner. Jim Steinman cheerleader. Sandwich eater.
The Frida has the best repertory programming lately. Hate that it's so far. Nearly every day there's something worth seeing that doesn't play all the time here.

Man, Wampler would have loved Chair Company. I suspect 90% of our texts over the past few weeks would have just been quotes.

Watching WONDER and there's a certain quote from the movie Loser (2000) that I can't help thinking about, and I feel awful about it.

I made an American Pie joke earlier today and "Laid" has been stuck in my head since, which then triggered the realization that I've never sang that song at karaoke.

And it's so short that I feel I owe the universe something that brief to make up for all the Steinman song renditions.

Any other Pope I'd assume it was the four JEEPERS CREEPERS films
Pope Leo has shared his four favorite movies of all time, as the Vatican prepares to host dozens of actors and directors in a “World of Cinema” gathering on Saturday at his official residence. See which films made the pope's list. nyti.ms/4p3exK9

Needless for me to say, perhaps, but the ending of episode 3 of Chair Company? 🥰😮

This was quoted into my feed without the context, so because of his last name I thought he was talking about that actress who took down the WB exec.
"Scared of Charlotte" is a whole new level of "scared of cities" that I'd never even considered possible
Rep. Pat Harrigan: "I have asked Josh Stein, our governor, to consider working with President Trump to allow the National Guard to come into Charlotte ... use the National Guard as a force multiplier and they can a lot of load off the Charlotte PD."

The person who I spend half my time in therapy venting about is out of town so without anything new to discuss my session today was basically just us yakking. We talked about LOST for like 10 minutes. I told her a funny anecdote about a premiere I went to.

But hey, therapists need breaks too.

No I thought M somehow was there for his first mission and later died but also oversaw his Brosnanian adventures (in the middle, I guess?)
Honestly, I've always seen the Craig Bond as a separate timeline on Bonds - it's own contained thing like the recent Halloween series. Or the previous Halloween series. Or the H20 one where Laurie didn't have a daughter before faking her own death. Or the producer's cut of part 6 that re-envisions t

All this Bond stuff reminded me that the other day I threw on Lego Movie 2 just to have some background stuff on while I ate and there's an entire "who's the best?" fight I'd never noticed before. Only because I had the subtitles on did I "hear" it.

(Yes, there's a Lazenby joke in there.)

Okay I appreciate the concept behind this shirt but why is John McClane in his Die Hard 3 outfit when that one does not take place at Christmas?

These things always sell out before I even have time to click on the link. But today I was successful!!!

...and then saw the date, which I can't make. Incredible.

My new department is demanding we put in four different weeks of vacation time despite the fact that I don't have four vacations to take so... anyone want me to visit them in 2026?

My favorite thing in Cine2Nerdle is when someone has no idea so they just assume a sequel must have people from the earlier entries involved.

God is going to allow Joe Don Baker to come back to life for one day to ask what in the fuck the Bond producers are talking about.

Let's strap Anthony Horowitz to a Clockwork Orange-type machine and make him watch the HALLOWEEN franchise start to finish. He'll be begging for Bond's continuity.

Proudly on the Glen Powell train since 2015. Seeing his name above the title for RUNNING MAN makes me happy.

Spotify suggested a song and I liked it, and then found out it was AI, which speaks to both how tricky it's getting to tell but probably also how bad my taste in music is.

Someone gonna hear Tonic or Dishwalla or whatever and be like "Yep, AI, no question."

A blessed day as my supervisor is going to allow me to let Tuesday be the day I work from home once the company goes back to four days in the office schedule next year. Basically they want everyone to stay home Monday or Friday but that's not very helpful for me.
