"Beware The Gray Ghost" is one of the best Batman origin stories ever. It's about the part of Batman that remains a childlike ideal - You would believe, when you're young, that you can put on a cool costume and solve the world's problems. And it delivers all of it with bittersweet earnestness.

With great sadness, I have to report Paul 'Fat Bloke' Sawyer has passed on.
If it wasn't for Paul, I would never have become a White Dwarf writer. He had faith in me when many others did not.
It is likely because of Paul that I am now making comics.
My deepest condolences to the Sawyer family. 🙏

It's 4 am & I'm crying bc 10 years ago, a man I never met died. A man who wrote some books that changed my brain forever died far too soon & so unfairly, his ideas stolen from him first.

Nine years since we lost the great Terry Pratchett and I don't think Bluesky's seen the A'Tuin our lead sculptor @snuurg.bsky.social built and sold to the man Himself. Jo made this for a college project and brought it to a book signing; Terry liked it so much he asked to buy it on the spot.
