Come on @nytimes.com spelling bee! Don’t you think your readers know this since COVID? You allow much more obscure words. We need more science in every day conversation, not less. 1 benefit of including words people don’t know is that they’ll look them up. That’s one reason I enjoy your word games

I think @nytimes.com Spelling Bee needs some Bio101. It also rejects intron, allele (and derivations), and actin. At least it has gene.
