Both Trump and his administration are less interested in helping ordinary Americans than they are in fulfilling their idiosyncratic program of austerity, pain and deprivation. They are all stick, no carrot. It's against this backdrop that voters just went to the polls and cast millions of votes against the president by way of Democratic candidates, moderate and progressive, who stood for both affordability and the nation's most cherished values, who pledged to use their time in office to protect their new constituents from the provocations and assaults coming from the government in Washington.

I think there would be more justifiable outrage about Frank if he wasn’t saying things like this. He doesn’t think it’s good right now, but he sees it, is working on it, and will push through.
There's a narrative, that you're a defensive coach, a pragmatist who can tweak things but maybe not such a front foot kind of coach. Are you surprised by that, given your record with Brentford in your career? I think it depends on whose narrative that is. The journalists? A few fans? I guess we have quite a few fans out there so I guess the ones who write on social media. I'm not on social media. I'm very aware we haven't been free flowing, in some games, I think there's definitely been some moments where we've been quite good. It's something we work very hard on every single day. It's fair to say every team I've managed, we've been able to score a lot of goals. Also a Brentford team with let's say on paper lesser players, creating a lot of top goal scorers. I'm convinced we will do the same here. I think it's fair to say we are also working very hard on it. The players are doing everything they can and it's my job with the coaches to make sure they hit good relations, good structure and can be confident.

I think this is a rather insane thing to believe and speaks to the larger lack of patience with fans today
If we can see fun/good ideas being executed poorly at the beginning rather than turgid ideas it's easier to be patient. If we finish 8th-10th while playing football like this at the end of the season I would suspect he won't be here next season. October 22, 2025 at 7:34 AM
