This is validating for me. I don't have the urge to post everyday stuff about myself, but it feels really impersonal to just post as a studio. I definitely don't feel like I could manage keeping up with two accounts on my own, especially now that I'm gaining a little bit of traction.

We definitely lose out on a mature GUI solution, but I personally find that to be a low impact issue. The organization of Bevy's ECS blows away anything the commercial engines have to offer, and we get to work with the open source community instead of paying royalties!

It's a long term bet. The memory safety of Rust should come with less runtime crashes. We gain lower level control of systems so we can optimize for lots of user placed objects and computationally heavy systems. Bevy may be new, but the renderer and available networking libraries are robust.

I love that it's categorized as a "landing technique" on Wikipedia.

Liquid methane has similar thermal and pressure requirements to liquid oxygen. Meaning that the two don't need to be separated in the rocket body by thermal insulation and the rocket won't experience uneven pressure stresses, so you don't need completely separate tanks.

You also have to deal with hydrogen embrittlement. Essentially hydrogen leaking into the structure of the metal containing it and weakening it.
