All of us who are old enough to remember War on Terror I know that the world is less safe today, not more safe. Bombing raids simply do not work for anything other than fomenting resentment, and a ground war would kill thousands more.

Setting aside political allegiances, this is just a bad idea. The party has no leader, and presumably very little money after the last election. This would effectively end the NDP and make Canada a de facto 2 party country - which doesn’t feel like it’s working great elsewhere?!
The NDP just said they’re going to vote against the Throne Speech.
This is a confidence vote, so if it doesn’t pass, say hello to another election!
That said, the Bloc will likely vote in favour of it — given Blanchet has suggested he’ll prop up the government until we have a deal with the U.S.

Ah, this one hurts. Condolences to her friends and family. Loved her on MASH, one of the few that lasted from start to finish. She had the near impossible task of taking the most unlikeable character and turning her into a fully fleshed out human being. No small task. RIP

Ah, this is sad. Growing up an older millennial in a retro household, Cheers and MASH were my favourite shows. Can’t imagine any other actor as Norm. He’ll be missed.
