The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

FWIW I think the BBC Board of Governors and Chair should be selected by an Independent panel which is what I hope will happen at Charter Renewal. But I don't want the Government to step in and weild a big stick now, that's what Dictators do, it's what Trump is trying to do.

Number of posts saying Starmer isn't doing enough to defend the BBC, very few saying what they want him to do other than defend one of our institutions. Should he address the nation, phone Trump and tell him to f*ck off? He's made a statement, that should be enough for now, no need to escalate yet.

Anyone know who's paying for Farage's weekly press events, it can't be cheap. They're basically weekly Party Political Broadcasts, he's running rings round the media who turn up every week and in some cases breathlessly report his every word.
