He cited rises in crimes including shoplifting, as well as warnings from #police forces of cuts to front line staffing due to funding shortfalls.
Who cut the number of police in the first place?
Er, #Tories? Short term memory loss? Just asking!

Stronger action is needed, but where does one start?

Farage claimed “I've only got 30 seconds" in response to being told to condemn Reform’s Andy Osbourne’s “downright evil” comment about children in care.

Yet he had plenty of time to talk about migrants.

Farage is the person who is downright evil!

The UK is no longer sharing intelligence with the US about suspected drug trafficking vessels in the Caribbean.

This doesn't seem to be getting much attention in the UK, but it is big.

What would you call this statement?
#Farage said the move was "in response to grave public concern about the safety of women and girls on the streets of West Northamptonshire". (re asylum seekers)

In these times of rancour & division, it’s comforting to find things on which we can all agree: Kent County Council, for example, really does provide a perfect illustration of how well Reform would run the country. I agree with Nigel!

Private companies operating care services in just three regions of England made £250m profits in 3 years,

£87.7m of profits went to care providers owned by private equity controlled from tax havens.

Profits mean money buys less. Higher taxes for less service.

Say NO to privatisation.

That final point is absolutely crucial.
The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

FWIW I think the BBC Board of Governors and Chair should be selected by an Independent panel which is what I hope will happen at Charter Renewal. But I don't want the Government to step in and weild a big stick now, that's what Dictators do, it's what Trump is trying to do.

Number of posts saying Starmer isn't doing enough to defend the BBC, very few saying what they want him to do other than defend one of our institutions. Should he address the nation, phone Trump and tell him to f*ck off? He's made a statement, that should be enough for now, no need to escalate yet.

Anyone know who's paying for Farage's weekly press events, it can't be cheap. They're basically weekly Party Political Broadcasts, he's running rings round the media who turn up every week and in some cases breathlessly report his every word.
