Good news for Kitchener-Waterloo residents who like watching big league sports in Toronto:
The 22:34 Kitchener Line train that used to end (frustratingly) in Guelph, will be extended to Kitchener from 22 November. Attending weekday ballgames will be easier next season!

The case for automated speed enforcement around schools is clear and there is widespread support among parents, hospitals, experts, police, etc.

Once again, it’s disheartening to see Kitchener mayor @berryonline.bsky.social on the wrong side of this issue.

I took my daughter to the PWHL takeover tour game in Buffalo last year. We loved the event & the style of hockey. Great crowd as well.
It's also where I found my Team Canada FNF jersey days after it was sold out across Canada.
And Tim, you will appreciate the Whalers jersey I wore to the game!

The next film screening is Wednesday 15 October at 7pm at the Minden Cultural Centre in Haliburton. I'm visiting the county to take part in their annual Housing Summit.
Looking forward to good conversation and learning about some rural housing challenges & solutions.

One of the cool things about the Vancouver Skytrain is the ability to photograph from the front window! It takes a bit of luck, patience and a clear windshield. But the results give a great impression of how transit has shaped the region. Pictures from April 2025.

It’s fun to regularly see the number 4 trains rumble past right field in Yankee Stadium on the el above River Ave!

Ford's ideas on speed cameras run contrary to evidence, the public desire for safe streets, medical professionals, Sick Kids hospital, police associations & academic research.

'Enough is enough?' How about we've had enough traffic deaths, we've had enough speeding!

More than most European cities, Glasgow rebuilt its geography for the car. The M8 motorway runs right through the city centre. On a recent trip to Scotland's largest city, I spent some time during the 'blue hour' photographing the juxtapositions of city and highway.

‘Ready to build your own Subway train?’

Yes I am! Will add these to the collection! The branding on the water bottle is very nice as well.

I was recently in Glasgow and went for a ride on the new subway trains that arrived last year. The Glasgow Subway is one of the most peculiar transit systems in the world:

1 loop
2 routes (inner and outer)
3rd oldest subway in the world!

It takes around half an hour to make a full circuit.

FFS can someone open this road back up again!!
No one can get here.
There’s no parking.
Can’t drive the car here anymore.
It’s crazy.
It will kill local businesses.

Just kidding!
Enjoy the Beaches Jazz Festival!

Ps why on early you’d want to drive here is beyond me (and I live 100km away)
