I believe it, but more than likely it's just consoomerism. People being too obsessed with their consumption signalling something about themselves that they don't even care about the quality of the art/product.

It's not often that I find myself guessing why a game is as successful or loved as it is, but this one really has me baffled. Is it the music? Are people just in love with Tidus' dorkiness? The Sphere grid? I love a lot of Final Fantasy games, but this one is just beyond me.

Ok, the final third of the game is kind of whack actually. Cool set pieces and all that, but leans too much into spectacle and weirdness for my liking. Nomura just couldn't help being Nomura.

I do look forward to playing Rebirth, though.
