PSA: The scheduling, execution, and monitoring of SMART tests has been deprecated in TrueNAS 25.10.
If you upgrade, your existing scheduled SMART tests are migrated into cron jobs. But new users are on their own figuring out how to implement something equivalent.

3 of my 5 hygrometers in my AMS units were low on battery. So I figured I'd swap out all the desiccant while I'm replacing the batteries.

Yesterday's unfortunate discovery of a #3Dprinting omission put the kibosh on finishing this #diynas.
But it won't stop me from hooking everything up and to start putting it through some burn-in testing!

My #DIY #NAS building is so extra! The first thing I did with makerunit's #3Dprinted 12-bay ATX case is to squeeze an extra 3 drives into the case by using 3.5"-to-2.5" drive adapters.

I needed to either work cleaning up my hoarded data, or I'd "need" to increase the capacity of my TrueNAS boxes.
I opted to buy new hard drives for my NAS and use those drives to upgrade my offsite NAS.
I have >100 TB of these leftover hard drives! I should put them to work, shouldn't I?
