What I mean by that is, I was worried the game was going to be at 3:30pm on Saturday. I would’ve skipped out on the game completely.
I would’ve been okay with a 3pm Sunday start and would’ve juggled my convention schedule around. But 7:30 on Sunday means I won’t miss anything on either front.

Yes. This is the bowl at Clark Park in West Philly, which 100 years ago was a pond. The bowl was dried out. Other than the occasional cut by the city, it’s just a park. Not even made for sport.
This was a pickup game. A bunch of us just gathered and swapped teams each week. It was social.

This honestly isn’t that different from goalkeepers in soccer wearing contrasting uniforms so that the referee can clearly see that he was allowed to do the one thing in soccer that the other 20 guys on the field can’t.
