So New York may elect a mayor named Zohran. How long before the idiot-in-chief makes a veiled racist comment? I imagine it going down like this. “Zohran? Maybe we’ll have to check out which terrorist cell he belongs to. Sounds like an Arab Zorro.” This from someone named after a duck.

This. Go ahead and argue with facts all you want. The more you build car capacity the more cars you get and the congestion stays.
“We found there’s this perfect one-to-one relationship. If a city increased its road capacity by 10% then driving in that city went up by 10%.” Still one of the best articles on why building bigger roads leads to more cars stuck in the same congestion. Understanding #InducedDemand Via @wired.com

Voted today. Advance polling station was in the same place I went to school for the first time in my life. I stood in line pretty well in the exact spot I sat that first day. Fun story. I saw other kids raising hand and asking to leave the room. So I did. Left the room and walked home.

One more box checked in the de-Americanization of my spending. No Amazon. It’s pretty amazing how easy it is to shop Canadian online now. Netflix and Tidal easily replaced. (Qobuz and Crave last month).

I took the time to read about Pierre Pollievre’s background. Why he would claim Carney is inexperienced. And why he would be more likely to cave to Trump. PP is literally one of those guys who wore suits in high school - he’s never had a real job. He’s running on the hypocrisy ticket I guess.

Unbelievably, Metro Transit has a new leader who actually takes the bus. And used to drive one. This could actually be the start of a better transit system for Halifax.

There is this special interest group in NS that goes by the name WestFor. Their goal is to find out which parts of Nova Scotia the greater public is trying to protect, and cut the trees before they are protected. Looks like the Houston Government is helping them.

I see in the news that Texas is restarting the Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) club. Just what we need. Fewer anti-vaxxers. And that’s for the kids who don’t die right away.
