Thinking about when I had the flu last year, and I had to go to 2 minor meds to get accurately diagnosed because the first one misdiagnosed me with GERD even though I told them I'd had a fever but took acetaminophen.

I feel like the grief I feel over losing my cat is also mixed with feeling like having that grief is so ridiculous. Like you can't grieve a pet in the same way you grieve a human being, but it hurts just the same.

Went to Lonnie's ashes scattering today. It helped bring some finality, but I still anticipate hearing her going up or down the stairs or appearing in an open doorway when I'm home. I just miss her is all.

A family member said they had been looking forward to receiving my Christmas treat bag gift. This year, I put in it 1 lemon blueberry cookie, 1 kitchen sink cookies, 1 ginger molasses cookie, and 1 cube of salted browned butter rice krispie treat, stacked vertically in that order.

Just realized that I've overpaid my tax bill for 2023 with the payment plan via automatically withdrawn payments, and I've gotten no confirmation about that bill being fully paid or about receiving a refund for the overpaid amount.

Vaguely remembered when I worked for a high school as a tutor, and on my own volition and with my own grad school student money, I made treat bags for all the students. I probably made like 100 little holiday-themed bags.

The community college I adjunct for, their network has been down since Wednesday. And the new term starts Monday, for which I teach a class.
But the school website can't load, and the online course site can't load. Sooooooo idek. Feels like I'm just scheduling an email for my new students then.
