Wicked looked great when they actually let shadows be shadows and kept the contrast in the shot.
But they only do that in the opening and court room scene.

Wicked doesn't have a color issue it has a contrast issue. They're afraid of shadows so there's less contrast and when you reduce the contrast the colors look less saturated by default.

The more you experiment with it. The better the photos will come out. Like anything colorgrading is a skill.

(Should note I use the Davinci Resolve version before putting the finishing touches in my perfered photo editor if im doing touch ups.)
But I just looked into the film stock for yea. Usually I do contrast/ exposure work before and after I add the emulation but this is all in emulation.

Dehancer is your best bet.
I don't aim for perfect emulation with it but I use the emulation to go ape shit with the colors and contrast.
