Everything about Chiles is enigmatic…makes terrible throws and spectacular throws, his change of direction is somehow slow and quick, he creates optimism and pessimism, looks awful one down and incredible the next…it’s one hell of a ride.

Annnnd that’s likely the last we’ll see of Jack Velling as a Spartan. That hospital ball likely sends him to the portal to play in an offense that better showcases him as an NFL prospect.

Nobody wanted Chiles to be the guy more than me, and I hope I’m wrong, but I’m losing hope. The field vision, decision making and accuracy just aren’t really improving at the rate you’d like to see.

Would like to see MSU offense be less conservative tonight. It was more fun to watch early in the year, even with the turnovers, as they were relentlessly aggressive. Where has that gone?? Let’s get back to taking downfield shots to Marsh and Foster, and let’s get Velling involved early.
