Bubble Enthusiast
I often see the response and think "well that's totally wrong..." but seeing the wrong answer helps me realize what the right answer is.

Ok, that was why I was confused: I had never heard that data must be kept inside the EU.

As far as I know, you can build a GDPR compliant website on a vanilla Bubble stack.

Do you mean avoiding having to comply with GDPR by keeping it out of Europe? Or why would you want to keep data out of Europe?

Why is Xano needed for GDPR?

Awesome! What's your Bubble story?

Cool, what's your agency?

I found Bubble in 2022 and decided to go all in. I now am every type of Bubbler: developer, founder, bootcamp teacher, software agency director, community organizer, youtuber, speaker, and mentor. I don't do anything very deep or very well, but I sure do a lot of it!

Hi Tom! What's your Bubble story?

Thanks! Some good people in there that I hadn't found yet!

My mentor once told me: if you want to get something done, assign it to a busy person. I've found that to be very true!

Passing the Bubble certification means that you have extensive experience and knowledge with Bubble. It's something you can point to like a bar exam or a medical degree that says you've undergone significant training and can be counted on as a qualified professional.

As a committee member, I'm working hard to ensure that Bubble's certification has real significance. It's not easy, and it shouldn't be easy. We're making it current, relevant to how developers actually practice, and very, very challenging.

No wonder women and minorities are less common in dev jobs. All these tech companies say they want to be more diverse, but also, only hire Sr. developers with 8 years of experience.

👏 YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE DEMOGRAPHICS IF YOU WON'T LET NEW PEOPLE IN! 👏

So to get your first job, you HAVE TO have some kind of unfair advantage. It's fundamentally unfair. (This is a big part of why I founded Refcode, to try to make the tech world more equitable.)

The Bubble certification actually levels the playing field by giving skilled people something concrete and meaningful to point to that proves their skill. Without a certification, people can only point to previous experience. Which means you have to already have experience to get your first job.
