@breannatara.bsky.social
I am the mom, the teacher, and the leader of my family. We are a 1 & done family.

I'm a homeschooler of 5.5 years of experience. I advocate for & support homeschooling families.

Secular, progressive, not hiding my politics, & so much more. Go science!
(2) I found a starting place. I believe public education has a place, but our system is beyond broken and my son doesn't need to suffer for it if I am capable of teaching it. Especially adding extra science like we do.

I stayed home because it was cheaper, at first. Then I realized I get to be with him, he learns our values (kindness, peace, etc) and keep him from being tortured for being Neurodivergant.

Saving this! My son was so mad he didn't get this in his curriculum till next year! And it's barely 2 pages. He is going to be so excited to get to supplement with this.

And your solution to kids who are abused sed by teachers and peers? Schools underreport it and only the victim gets punished when they finally break. I think you're very privileged to not experience the level of abuse and trauma caused by teachers and peers

Public school oesn't teach periods to boys, only girls. All sex Ed is abstinence only in most schools or a 1 day anatomy only lesson. Don't assume all homeschooling is biblical. Less than 35% are. That means 65% are homeschooling for NOT biblical reasons.
