Wicked is from 2003. When Wicked made it's debut we were still using the word transvestite, the first Iphone wouldn't be released for 4 years, blockbuster was still open, google was only 6 yrs old, and Mark zuckerberg hadn't even launched facebook. It is very much not a "our society today" Ben.
