That's a good idea, can always get the fancy one later. My only concern with an hourglass would be that it doesn't beep so you could miss when it's finished, but I guess being lost in the flow is the point so that's not an issue

I bet it would help. Pretty similar to using a Pomodoro timer, which helped me whenever I... fuck why do I keep forgetting Pomodoro is a thing I really should try it again
