35th completed game of 2025 is Ninja Gaiden (1989). Been meaning to play this for years! I appreciated its brevity, lush presentation, and tight jumping controls, but found the enemy patterns relentless and the main character's sword too limited in range. An engaging C+.

I watched Joysticks (1983) tonight, and this is one of the least explicable movies I've ever seen. "Video to the max" indeed.

I'm surprised that anyone's dunking on the third act of Clair Obscur - I picked the "bad ending" and would choose it a million times over the "good ending," because it felt so true to my characters. A rare story that managed to stick the landing entirely.
Seeing other narrative design people say that Clair Obscur had a bad 3rd act or bad ending(s)…I just can’t follow you there man. That shit ruled. Sorry. You break the combat wide fucking open and then get your choice of doing genocide or walking toward Omelas and saying “torturing that child rocks”

In one of the prototype versions of Yoshi's Island, the Baby Mario handover process is unfinished and does not always work. The Yoshi that should be waiting at the end is missing, and the playable Yoshi simply throws Baby Mario onto the ground, making him crawl off by himself.

34th completed game of 2025 is Pokemon Legends Z-A (2025). This is the best the series has been since Sun & Moon (2016), with wholesome vibes and a tactically-engaging new real-time combat system that reminds me of an MMORPG. I don't have a single complaint after 40 hours of play!

We finished our rewatch of Lost (2004-2010), and my wife and I both agreed that we liked it even more than the first time around. Hanging out at college to watch it was a big part of our early dating life, so it was really nice to revisit it together 15 years later.

33rd completed game of 2025 is Mario Kart World (2025). It's an excellent kart racer with the best animation in the genre and an incredible character roster, but it had the impossible task of following up on the superlative Mario Kart 8. Still a lot of fun in its own right.

32nd completed game of 2025 is WarioWare Inc. (2003). This was a laugh-out-loud hoot from start to finish, and is pleasantly short; you could wrap it up in a couple hilarious sittings.
