Put yourself in the shoes of a small business owner who wants to relocate HQ and has gotten down to a short list of Boston and Philly. They're going to have to work that much harder to turn a profit if they choose Philly, solely because of the difference in tax rates.

The amount of tourist cash and tax $ that we’re missing out on by not having a pedestrian-only nightlife area like Broadway in Nashville (or even the little 8th street promenade in Boise) is just a huge self-own

It’s good to see the night mayor putting in this kind of work… COVID set our city back by years and very few sectors of our local economy were hit harder than the nightlife industry

I realize market east is a shell of its former self but there’s gotta be other businesses willing to pay $125K a year for the right to own and sell billboard space on the convention center
