If the conceit of a “cosmopolitan elite” sounds intolerant, xenophobic, etc., then you get the underlying idea here. Never mind the fact that land grant unis maintain huge ag programs. The goal is to normalize the idea that universities should promote a pre-defined vision of culture + heritage. 2/2

Hard to attract tuition-paying students who want a university degree when you’re not an accredited university and don’t really have faculty or a curriculum.

It's been a long road for Heritage. In their very first public outing in 1975, defending book boycotters (and school bombers) in WV, Heritage split over the same issue: Whether or not to share files and cooperate with the Ku Klux Klan.

Back then, the non-cooperate faction won.
