A harrowing story with local ties. The man’s brothers live in Raleigh.
In September, the Trump administration conducted a historic deportation flight to Iran.

We tracked down people deported on the plane.

Some are in hiding, others have fled the country.

1) Standards do have a lot of power. Definitely feels like too much sometimes. Every journalist has been thru battles.

2) Standards are there for very very good reasons

3) They are not the problem, they make the work better 99 percent of the time

4) Bad journalistic practices are the problem
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

The next film should open with Bond waking up in Bob Newhart’s apartment. He walks into the living room to find a nonverbal child staring at a snow globe.
Also, not specific to this discourse, but as long as you're not a coward you can, in fact, just have a character wake up in bed and say "Whew! It was all a dream!"

One of the main reasons the UK has historically been so much less polarised than the US, is that Britain has a shared source of information, consumed and trusted by most people regardless of their politics.

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.
