I remember walking around my parents’ neighbourhood one night about 20 years ago as a wee college kid, eyes fixed on that moon halo completely puzzled. It was one of the first curiosities of the night sky that caught my undivided attention. Thanks for the heads up. Just stepped out to see it again.

Yesterday, out of the blue, my wife asked who I thought was taller between Charizard and Snorlax and then we proceeded to have a big family deep dive and discussion on how awesome Snorlax is. Point being: I really hope that is an everyday toque.

The perspective shift between the roof and the sides of the building has made my whole morning. I feel like I’m in a trippy dream sequence where everything is an optical illusion. Like if I walked toward that building, it would become concave and the exterior walls are actually on the inside.
