Someone recognized it as a Leighton, put it in auction (where the reserve of $140 was NOT met!) and Museo de Ponce bought it in the 1960s. Just wild to me!

It was missing/forgotten about for years and years. During this time Andrew Lloyd Webber saw it in a street market. He asked for 50 pounds from his grandmother to buy it, this was before his great success. She refused calling it Victorian junk!
