I'd argue that Firebase is malware in and of itself, as it takes control away from both developer and user of a Firebase-infused app.

anyway, no OAuth at the end of 2025 for a Bluesky client is shame and pure incompetence. or laziness. or intentional, which does not matter as OAuth is enough.
